This inventory and valuation was carried out by Edward Rushton Son and Kenyon in 1898. This was a company of valuers based then at 13 Norfolk Street, Manchester a short city centre road close to the Spring Gardens Post Office. The business had been founded in 1855.
The company still exists with a registered office in Cambridge but is currently dormant. Their successor, Ruston International is still based in Manchester and has offices worldwide.
